أبو حسنة: تمويل الاتحاد الأوروبي للأونروا لن يُنهي العجر المالي

أكد المتحدّث باسم وكالة غوث وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين “أونروا”، عدنان أبو حسنة، أنّ وكالة “أونروا” تُعاني عجزاً مالياً بلغت بقيمة 114مليون دولار أمريكي، رغم المساعدات الأوروبية الأخيرة.

وبين أبو حسنة في تصريحات خاصة، أنّ ما قدمه الاتحاد الأوروبي من دعم لوكالة الغوث في الآونة الأخيرة لن يساهم في خفض العجز المالي الذي تعاني منه الأونروا.

وأعرب أبو حسنة عن أمله في أن يشهد مؤتمر المانحين والذي سيقام في منتصف نوفمبر القادم إنهاء للعجز المالي المزمن من خلال تقديم الدعم المالي الكافي لوكالة الغوث وسد جميع التزاماتها المالية, لكي تستطيع مواصلة تقديم خدماتها للاجئين.

وأشار أبو حسنة إلى أنّ وكالة الغوث ستقوم بصرف رواتب موظفيها لهذا الشهر صباح غدا الخميس, آملاً أن تستطيع إدارة الأونروا تأمين رواتب موظفيها خلال الأشهر القادمة عبر ايفاء المانحين بالتزاماتهم المالية وتقديمهم الدعم الكافي.

يُشار إلى أنّ إدارة الرئيس الأمريكي السابق دونالد ترامب قطعت تمويل وكالة “أونروا” في عام 2018، علماً أنّ الدعم السنوي الذي كانت تقدمه الولايات المتحدة للأونروا يبلغ 365 مليون دولار ويمثل نحو ثلث ميزانيتها السنوية البالغة 1.24 مليار دولار.

ووقع الاتحاد الأوروبي ووكالة “الأونروا” اتفاقية مساهمة بينهما لعام 2021، لدعم الموازنة البرامجية للوكالة للسنة الحاليَّة.

وقالت وكالة “الأونروا” في بيان, أنه بموجب هذه الاتفاقية سيقدم الاتحاد الأوروبي تبرعًا بقيمة 90 مليون يورو لدعم أعمال التنمية البشرية “لأونروا” لهذا العام، موضحة أن هذا التبرع سيساعد في المحافظة على سبل الوصول إلى التعليم لـما مجموعه 533,000 طفل، وتوفير الرعاية الصحية الأولية لأكثر من 3,4 مليون مريض ومساعدة أكثر من 250,000 لاجئ من فلسطين من الفئات الأشد عرضة للمخاطر، علاوة على العديد من الخدمات الأخرى.
